"Fósforo" 2nd film critic contest Alfonso Reyes

The National Autonomous University of Mexico, through the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, the General Director of the Central Office of Cinematographic Activities and the Literature Department, call for entries to the "Fósforo" 2nd film critic contest Alfonso Reyes. The competition is open to all members of UNAM community in the following categories: High school, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate Alumni.
The work to develop is a film essay related to one of the three films selected by FICUNAM, that will be screened at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, only for those enrolled in the contest.
The screening dates are:
a) December 5, 6 and 7, 2011, from 11 to 13 hours, the first show, and from 13 to 15 hours, the second.
b) January 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, 2012, from 11 to 13 hours, the first show, and from 13 to 15 hours, the second.
The deadline for essay submissions is February 10, 2012.
The award ceremony will take place on February 29, 2012 at the closing of the Contemporary Cinema Debate at FICUNAM.
Awards:
For each category there will be a unique prize that includes: Laptop, editing program (video and photography), books and films, and the publication of the film essay at Punto de Partida Review.
